The next time you want to play hooky, head to the dentist for a cleaning instead. Last year alone, adults missed over 164 million hours of work – and children missed over 51 million hours of school for dental related problems. The first step towards a healthy smile
is to make an appointment.
Tooth decay often begins soon after
a baby's first teeth appear – clean your baby's gums once a day by using moistened gauze or washcloth to gently massage the gums. Bring in your baby for their first dental exam after first tooth has appeared or first birthday.
The purpose of cleanings is to remove plaque and calculus that lead to cavities and gum disease. It also serves as a time to review your technique so we can provide feedback towards improving your home care. We will polish your teeth and remove stain so your mouth will feel fresh and clean. The doctors will evaluate any radiographs taken that day and complete a clinical exam to check the health of your teeth.
Our doctors are looking forward to meeting you. Once we’ve had the chance to hear your concerns, your medical history will be reviewed. Please bring a list of all your medications.
Important: A parent or guardian must be present during initial consultation visit for all patients under the age of 18.
Our office uses digital radiographs to limit the amount of radiation exposure. We will use an intra-oral camera so that you can see our findings. Once we have had the opportunity to our findings and complete our diagnosis, together you will formulate a treatment plan to fit your needs.
