Ryan L. Brittingham, DDS grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was the oldest brother of 3 sisters and his entire young life revolved around sports and the outdoors growing up. He lettered in 5 sports in High School (Tennis, Basketball, Football, Track, and Cross Country) and has loved to hunt, fish, and camp his entire life and still does today. He is proud to be an Eagle Scout and feels he uses something he learned in scouting every day of his life. He loved it so much he actually ended up marrying his Scout Leader’s daughter and they have 3 amazing kids and have been happily married the past 26+ years. Ryan and Kellie both attended the University of Kansas for undergrad and Ryan graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology. Life then wisked them away to Omaha, Nebraska where Ryan attended Creighton University School of Dentistry. After Graduating with Honors in 2001, Ryan and Kellie and now Daughter, Paxton, moved back to Lawrence, Kansas where Ryan started a Family Dental Practice. Adding 2 boys along the way, Jaydon and Maddon, life went on pretty well in Lawrence for 20 years. Over that time, the practice developed and changed and Ryan became well versed in many different areas of Dentistry.
Highly skilled and experienced in the surgical procedures associated with dental implant treatment, he uses metal-free zirconia implants to support replacement teeth.
The practice was always focused on Comprehensive Care and Cosmetics but for the past 10 years Dr. Brittingham has spent a lot of time, energy, and resources to become very proficient in Implant Dentistry and complex Dental Solutions. He has achieved high accolades in Full Mouth Reconstruction on teeth with Crown and Bridge by taking and completing multiple Continuing Education courses across the country including the entire curriculum at Arrowhead Dental Lab in Salt Lake City, Utah and The Spears Institute of Dental Training in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Brittingham actually assisted in teaching a course to other dentists on how to prep a full arch in a single visit for Arrowhead Lab and owes much of his skill to the work he did there. He has been published, writing several article for “Esthetic Dental Journal” and has hosted a couple webinars to teach other dentists various topics. However, the part that was missing in his practice was a better solution for missing teeth. Dr. Brittingham then attended and completed the prestigious Misch Implant Institute which consisted of 150 didactic and hands on hours of Clinical training. He became a Fellow and a Board Certified Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and he has now placed 1000’s of implants and has completed nearly 150 fixed full arch cases doing both the surgical and the prosthetic parts himself which puts him in a very unique and small niche of Dentists out there. What does this mean for the patient? It means he can do the entire process himself, in a single location, with a single team which makes things much more simple, fluid, and fast which minimizes chair time for the patient and for the doctor. Dr. Brittingham also has Oral and IV Sedation Certifications so he can make sure his patients are safe and comfortable through the entire process.
Well, the World Wide Covid Pandemic… that’s what’s new. After being asked to close his doors for 60 days while the World experienced this new pandemic scenario, Dr. Brittingham decided it was time for a change. It was time for him to pursue his Dream job.
In 2020, Dr. Brittingham had the opportunity to sell his Dental practice in Lawrence and he took it. He now practices in Shawnee, Kansas at Mill Creek Dental and has focused his practice almost entirely on helping people with Implant Dental Solutions and Full Mouth Rehabilitations on teeth, implants, or a combination of both.
He is a Chief Faculty member of the Kansas City Implant Institute which is a subsidiary of his new practice, Mill Creek Dental. A platform for Dr. Brittingham to share his knowledge and experience in teaching other Dentists how to place Dental Implants and add these procedures to their own practices.
As 2022 has rolled around and I have now practiced Dentistry for 21+ years… I am still passionate about what I do!!! Full Arch Dental Solutions has become the procedures that I feel I can impact my patients lives the most. Being a part of a Life Transformation has been an exhilarating thing to be a part of. I have met and worked with some amazing people along my journey and I can’t wait to see who’s next.
